Do the cigars in the humidor need to be rotated?

A regular rotation of the cigars is not usually necessary. The underlying idea is that cigars in the immediate vicinity of the humidifier are exposed to more moisture than cigars that are farther away. This is true, but should only prove to be a problem when a lack of sufficient air circulation allows the moisture to settle in the cigars closest to the humidifier. This can often be the result of overfilling the humidor. Storing fewer cigars in the humidor will ensure a sufficient amount of space is left between the humidifier vents and the cigars.
