I was skeptical about the V-cut, but both it and the lighter as a whole are very convincing. The cut is clean, and the flames tilt slightly toward the center, creating a focused, even flame that can also be adjusted smoothly. The lighter does get warm fairly quickly, but not as much as others. The built-in rest is a matter of preference; it’s fine for setting down a cigar before lighting it, but I wouldn’t place a lit one on it.
The triple-flame jet lighter takes some getting used to for lighting a cigar, as it generates a tremendous amount of heat. I accepted the challenge and now light all my cigars with the triple-flame jet lighter and, depending on the size, I also use it to make a V-cut in the cap. I'm very satisfied!
A lighter that packs a punch.
It gets scratched too easily.
